Rajesh joined THFN as interim Chief Executive in November 2014 becoming permanent the following year. He has a long history in the public and not for profit sector and has held CEO positions at many other national and international charities before joining THFN.  Rajesh has experience of working in local authority social service departments, the health service and worked as a Senior Inspector at the Audit Commission for over ten years inspecting local government and health services.

Bridget Akinbolaji

Bridget began working at THFN in 2011 and has over 20 years’ project management experience. She worked in local government before becoming part of the THFN team. Bridget was born and raised in Tower Hamlets and loves that THFN makes a difference to the community she lives in.

Clara Djondo

Client Services Administrator (part – time)

Clara began working at THFN in 2017 and joined us from Haringey Age UK. She has over 25 years’ working in administration, 9 years of that in the charity sector. Clara likes that no two days are the same in her role and is motivated by the changes she sees THFN has on older people’s lives.

Rose Curran

Rose volunteered locally before joining THFN 29 years ago and has befriended hundreds of clients since 1989. A lot has changed throughout those years and Rose’s experience means she is able to deal with many situations that still face our clients today.

Breenda Lawrence

Breenda has worked for THFN for over 26 years, moving to the borough from Mauritius. Her vast knowledge and experience in Adult Social Care systems means that she is an expert in getting essential services for our clients. Breenda is fluent in Hindi and Patois.

Shirajul Islam

Shirajul began volunteering for THFN before becoming a staff member over 11 years ago. He is fluent in Bengali and Sylheti, and has an extended knowledge of the Adult Social Care and Benefit systems which he uses to benefit and empower our clients. He lives locally and often promotes THFN’s work in the community.

Sabiha Choudhury

Sabiha volunteered with Tower Hamlets Alzheimer’s Society, before becoming a THFN volunteer in 2012. After 5 years as a volunteer she became a THFN staff member in 2017. Sabiha lives in Tower Hamlets and is fluent in Bengali and Sylheti. She enjoys seeing the difference THFN makes in client’s lives.

Valeria Martinez

Social Media Volunteer

Raised in Spain, Valeria moved to London two years ago  to pursue her dream of becoming a journalist. She is currently in her second year studying Journalism at City University. She is passionate about writing and story-telling, and meeting new people, discovering new cultures and going on life-changing adventures.

As THFN’s Social Media Coordinator she has learnt the importance of supporting local communities, being empathetic and always checking on loved ones.

Isa Farfan

Web Content Manager and UX Consultant Volunteer

Isa has lived in Tower Hamlets neighbourhood for the last six years. After graduating in User Experience Design she decided to put her knowledge to work to help the community that so warmly welcomed her when she moved to London from Spain.

Her role at THFN is the everyday running and updating on the website. Her end goal is to create a complete redesign of the platform that is not only attractive but also accessible and  user centred.
