We are very grateful for all financial donations

Donations can be made to us :

Every donation pays for hours of company for an older person in Tower Hamlets who would otherwise be alone. We are a small charity with a big track record — running befriending services in East London since 1947 — and your support keeps us going.

What your donation does

  • £10 covers a befriending visit, including travel and a cup of tea
  • £12  buys a pair of slippers for a housebound older person
  • £25 provides an emergency food parcel
  • £50 covers a month of regular phone support for someone in crisis
  • £75 buys a winter emergency kit of war, clothing, blankets and an electronic radiator
  • £250 covers some of the cost towards a place on a group outing — minibus, escort and the day itself
  • £1,000 funds a year of weekly visits and activities (including transportation) for one older person

Leave a gift in your will

A legacy to THFN means the next generation of older Tower Hamlets residents will not face old age alone. Even a small gift makes a real difference. If you are considering remembering us in your will, please get in touch — we would be glad to talk through what your gift could make possible.

Fundraise for us

Running a marathon, holding a coffee morning, marking a milestone? We would love to support you. Email [email protected] and we will send you our fundraising pack.

Corporate partnerships

We work with employers across Tower Hamlets and the City who want to support older residents in the borough. Whether that means making us your charity of the year, organising employee volunteering, or sponsoring our minibus outings — get in touch with Rita Chadha at [email protected] for a conversation.
